Oh my Gahd, SHOES.

Favours were asked to get these shoes, as Faith are in administration.
'mum, they have the shoes in Bristol, who do we know in Bristol?'
'M and M W live there, I could ask them...? '
'Really? I havn't seen them for like, ever... do you think they would?'
'I'm sure they would if I asked...'

a week later...they arrived.

a thank you letter has been sent.

Teeny tiny bit tight cross the balls of my feet, I'm thinking about stretching them with damp teatowels stuffed in, any other suggestions gratefully recieved. also still cnsidering the dyeing idea, my mums just not feeling the coloured shoes thing though.

  1. A wet tea towel should do the job - alternatively wear them around the house when husband to be isn't in, with socks. The are utterly beautiful

    I had red shoes!

  2. so sweet! i also go for the wear them around the house with a few pairs of socks on method then they are stretching in the right places. i'm wearing colored shoes but the detail is so beautiful having color too might be a bit much - i think i'd be worried i wouldnt like them, especially if you love them as they are already.

  5. You have had experience of dying shoes so you do know what you are doing. I would just be afraid to touch them as you can't get another pair - but then I am a big wuss. What is it with Mums not feeling the coloured shoe?

  6. Definitely wear them around the house. Although because they are so pristine I suggest wear socks or hideous pop socks over the top too.

  7. I bought a shoe stretcher last year from a shoe shop and its been brillian! its has made previously unwearable shoes comfortable enough to wear again. It cost about £17 i think.

  8. Haha my sister and I quote that Kelly thing pretty often... it's hilarious!

  10. Lovely shoes!

I would go with the wearing them with socks plan too or the shoe stretcher.

I would be a little wary about dying if they arent specific made to dye shoes. For my friends wedding we got ivory satin BHS shoes dyed and they didnt come out that great, a bit blotchy!

    {p.s where I have been; I didnt know Faith were in administration!}

  12. I had my eye on those shoes too and had thought about dying them purple! Didn't know faith were in administration though, that's a shame. Wearing them with socks is definitely a good idea. Oh, and they are beautiful shoes, great choice!

  17. (Also I say dye them but have no idea actually how well shoes dye. Obviously I would choose fuchsia!)

Also I love the idea of the cracked leather/emulsion look! V cool!

  18. fuschia is about the colour I'd be going for, the deepest shade in the bridesmaids dresses.
