DIY: pom pom garland

The hardcore, long term readers out there may vaguely be able to dredge up from the recesses of your mind that I spent a long time making pompoms a year or so back, in the hope of one day making them into a garland for christmas time. Today was that day. Never say I dont finish a project...

  3. Cuteness! They look so sweet across the mirror.

(Probably a stupid question - did you link the poms with a needle and the thread? Or do they end up with a hollow middle?)

  4. No hollow middle, they are tied up with wool. I used a big long blunt needle used for a type of quilting, doubled the length of wool through it and just threaded the pom poms on. Because it's all wool the poms gripped it so I didn't need to tie knots to hold them in place. Hope that makes sense!

  6. What a great idea! I haven't made pom poms in years. I'll have to have a look through my wool stash for some Christmassy colours and make a few decorations myself. Thanks for sharing x x

  8. Love 'em! They look all cosy and xmasy... we have so many unfinished projects though, the problem with finishing something is that you have to start something else!

  9. I love it you could have it up all year; I think I might want to make one too, after the long list of other things!

    Whats next to make???

  10. Love this! And it gives me faith that sometimes those long unfinished projects (of which I am also a victim) do eventually get sign off!
